Portugal and Saudi Arabia discuss Trade and Investment Opportunities

The Chairman & CEO of AICEP – Portuguese Trade & Investment Agency, Luís Castro Henriques, visited Saudi Arabia to strengthen economic relations with Portugal.

The visit included several meetings to explore business opportunities between both countries, particularly a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim, and Deputy Minister for International Economic Affairs, Bandar Alkhamies.

Among the many initiatives included in the programme, there was a Seminar to promote investment and trade opportunities.  From the Saudi side, there were also the Deputy Minister for Strategic Planning and Organizational Excellence, Feras Sheraiff and the Deputy Minister for Sectorial and Regional Development Affairs, Farah Ismail. Accompanying from the Portuguese side we had the honour and pleasure of counting with our Ambassador, Nuno Mathias, Luís Rebelo de Sousa, Executive Member of the Board of AICEP, and AICEP’s Economic Counsellor for UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, Manuel Couto Miranda.

AICEP would like to express its gratitude for the Saudi Government’s hospitality and willingness to boost the economic relationship between Portugal and Saudi Arabia.
