A new Portuguese bakery is to open in Bath city centre once the second lockdown ends. Nata & Co, which makes the famous Pastel de Nata – a Portuguese egg tart pastry dusted with cinnamon – has confirmed its plans to open following the end of the lockdown.
The patisserie said it could not miss the opportunity to open in Bath when a retail space on Bridge Street came up, and the shop is set to become the company’s first outside Cardiff, where it opened in 2012 and has since expanded to four bases in the Welsh city.
A spokeswoman for Nata & Co said: “We were either going to open in Bristol or Bath but we picked Bath and we are so excited.”
